OCEANA HULA MOVEMENT taught by Fe Murray, RN, MSN One body area that can easily hold and store energy is the pelvis, located in the second chakra. It is postulated that this area holds our creative energy. Hula movements are especially helpful in moving the creative energy throughout the body. In this way, we move energy throughout all the chakras from the base of the spine and up. In addition to the smooth flowing movements, the dancer must connect with the “sun” of our body—the heart. Located here in the fourth chakra, are some of the neuroreceptors for the biochemicals we call “emotions”—especially those of joy and sadness. The music often focuses on the beauty of nature as it serves as a metaphor for birth, love, growth, loss, and death. The music can help to bypass the brain so that emotions can flow. Class is for movement instructors, dancers and non-dancers. The focus is on creativity within the hula without an overemphasis on technique as well as increasing the awareness of hidden emotions and their effect on our health. CLASSES ARE HELD AT SOUL AT HOME IN TUSTIN, CA ON SUNDAYS BEGINNERS 11:45 AM TO 12:30PM; ADVANCED BEGINNERS 12:30 PM TO 1:30 PM CALL FOR INFORMATION 714-573-7685 |

| ABOUT "OCEANA" Oceana is my amakua or spirit guide. I learned about her as I started my healing work and felt uncertain about my abilities. Her actual Hawaiian name was made known to me as it was clear that I was working in her footsteps and aloha. The image above is a ceramic artwork done by Robert Murphy whose website is www.RJMceramicdesigns.com. He was following his heart when he created this image of Oceana. At the time he had no idea that she was asking him to bring her spirit back to earth because it is so needed here at this time. I saw him and his work at Soul at Home where I was able to obtain this beautiful image of her spirit and bring it home. Oceana is also an organization that works hard to preserve our the oceans.
